Both tools are good. The right answer depends on what you're actually doing.
If you're already paying — here's the cleanest way to switch without losing work.
Don't waste paid minutes — finish whatever's left in your Lalal.ai pack first. Packs don't transfer, but the minutes are still useful.
Pick a song you've already separated in Lalal.ai. Drop it into SignalKey's Stem Splitter. Compare the four stems against the four-stem export from Lalal.ai.
If the 4-stem split is enough for your purpose, you're done. If you need 5+ stem isolation, stay on Lalal.ai for those specific jobs and use SignalKey for the rest of your pipeline.
Drop the same track into Audio → MIDI for the bassline, Chord Finder for the chord chart, and LUFS Meter for the master check — all things Lalal.ai doesn't do at all.
On 4-stem comparisons, very close. Both use modern source-separation models. Lalal.ai has a slight edge on extreme edge cases (heavily-compressed pre-2000s recordings) thanks to a longer model R&D timeline.
Methodology: Researched April 2026 against public Lalal.ai pack pricing and feature documentation. Comparison is functional, not subjective audio quality testing. If anything in this comparison reads as inaccurate, please email hello@signalkey.io and we'll update.
Drop a song and see the analysis pass — BPM, key, Camelot, stems, MIDI, LUFS — in one go. Free forever.
