SignalKey doesn't host or distribute audio. Files you upload are processed in-flight and discarded. We do, however, return analysis results that could relate to copyrighted works — and we take those concerns seriously.
1. Our position
SignalKey's analysis tools (BPM, key, stems, MIDI) are general-purpose audio analysis utilities. They do not host, stream or distribute the original audio. Stems and MIDI files generated from a user upload are delivered only to the user who uploaded the file, then deleted.
We respect the rights of copyright holders. Misuse of our tools to process copyrighted audio without authorisation is prohibited by our Terms of Service.
2. Filing a DMCA take-down notice
If you believe content accessed via SignalKey infringes your copyright (for example, a stem or MIDI file generated from your work being redistributed by a third party who used SignalKey to process it), send a notice to dmca@signalkey.io including:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner (or authorised agent)
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
- Identification of the material to be removed and information sufficient to locate it (URL, job ID, timestamp)
- Your contact information (address, telephone, email)
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are authorised to act on behalf of the owner
Notices are reviewed within 7 business days. We will remove or disable access to allegedly infringing material expeditiously upon receipt of a valid notice and notify the user who created the relevant analysis job.
3. Counter-notice
If you believe content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to dmca@signalkey.io with:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the material that was removed and its prior location
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake
- Your name, address, telephone number, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of your local federal district court
4. Repeat infringers
We terminate access for users who are determined to be repeat infringers consistent with applicable law. IP-based blocks may be applied where appropriate.
